Tree Decorating with the Grandparents in Hawthorn Woods
In my opinion, one of the best parts about the holidays is spending time with your extended family. Blessed are those who still have their grandparents with them to share in traditions, laughter, food, and love. Jennifer contacted me to capture some special moments between her parents and her children, Nathan and Hannah. She shared with me that they didn't have many photographs of the four of them together and that due to the close relationships, it was important to her. Thankfully, Grandma and Grandpa live nearby and were able to swing over for tree decorating. Throughout the session, we had beautiful light coming into the B Family's front room. It was every photographer's dream to be able to capture that light as it reflected off the shiny ornaments and glittering snow as the grandparents and grandchildren covered the tree until it glistened in every possible way. Even better than the sun's rays were the connections between the generations that you see here. I hope these are images that the relatives can cherish for years to come.
